The El Paso Field Office of the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (TDI-DWC) is hosting a brown bag educational
session entitled Pharmacy Closed Formulary on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 as part of its continuing outreach and education on the rule. This brown bag
educational session is for all Texas workers’ compensation participants, including: health care providers, pharmacists, insurance carriers, claim adjusters, case
managers and attorneys.

This free session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Downtown State Office Building, Suite 485, 401 E. Franklin Avenue in El Paso. The session will
provide information on the TDI-DWC pharmacy closed formulary rules, adopted in December 2010 for both certified workers’ compensation network (network)
and non-network claims with dates of injury on or after September 1, 2011. This session will provide information on the definition and application of both the
open and closed formularies.

This free session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the TDI-DWC Weslaco Field Office, 1108 West Pike Blvd. in Weslaco. The session will provide information
on the TDI-DWC pharmacy closed formulary rules, adopted in December 2010 for both certified workers’ compensation network (network) and non-network
claims with dates of injury on or after September 1, 2011. This session will provide information on the definition and application of both the open and closed
formularies.
